Entertaining Your Kids

After thinking long and hard about how to make my kids happy, I realized that I had to do something to make sure that we were keeping them entertained. They were getting bored with the normal things like playing outside and going to after school activities, so I began working hard to find an entertainment outlet for them. We were able to find a theater company that offered the kinds of family-friendly entertainment options we were looking for, and it was fun to see how much different things became. I decided to start a new blog that centered around entertainment, so here you are.

What You Need to Know About Renting an Inflatable Bounce House

Whether for a child's birthday party or for something to keep the kids occupied during a business or community event, renting an inflatable bounce house is a good idea. However, before you make the call to schedule one to be delivered and set up, there are a few things you need to take into consideration to get the most out of the equipment and make sure everyone has a great time.

Weather

Although you may not be able to know what the weather will exactly be like on the day of the rental, you can probably give a good guess. If it is the time of year when it is hot outside, you may want to have an inflatable water slide that lands in part of the bounce house. You could also get a house that has water spraying into it. This will not only add to the fun but will keep the plastic of the inflatable from becoming too hot and prevent burning the kids. If it may be raining, ask about having some type of canopy for over the top; although, a bit of rain could make it more enjoyable.

Location

Take the time to find the right place for the bounce house. Call the vendor and ask about sizes. Make sure you are given the total amount of space required for the inflatable house and the air compressor. You also need to make sure there is access to electricity close by for the fan motor and compressor to be plugged in. You do not want to have an electric cord stretched across the yard where people will be moving about.

Age Range

Most kids will love any type of bounce house, and you may have trouble keeping older teenagers out. However, you may need to have an adult supervising things if the age range of the kids will be large. Smaller kids will have a hard time jumping around with older kids at the same time. You may also want to consider a special bounce house depending on the age of the kids. For example, you can have one that has obstacles to maneuver about or one that has inflated weapons for jousting or team combat.

Most bounce houses can entertain all ages. Once the kids have quieted down or are busy elsewhere, you and a few friends might want to get in and bounce around for a bit. It's great exercise and can be a lot of fun.

Call a local bounce house company, such as Cool Cat Sites, when you're planning your event.
