Entertaining Your Kids

After thinking long and hard about how to make my kids happy, I realized that I had to do something to make sure that we were keeping them entertained. They were getting bored with the normal things like playing outside and going to after school activities, so I began working hard to find an entertainment outlet for them. We were able to find a theater company that offered the kinds of family-friendly entertainment options we were looking for, and it was fun to see how much different things became. I decided to start a new blog that centered around entertainment, so here you are.

Strategies to Help You Discover Some of the Best Movies

If you have an active Netflix membership, you are probably accustomed to the manner in which the algorithm works and the routine update that offers several viewing options that are based upon your viewing history. If you are looking for a new way to ensure that both you and your spouse are entertained or if you are seeking a way to discover some of the best movies on netflix, without reading a lot of reviews, choose some alternate ways to select movies.

Select Solely From the Genre

Direct-to-video films were not originally released in a movie theater and may have not received the credit they deserve. There also may be some movies that you enjoyed watching many years ago, but it may be that you have forgotten about that. To make the viewing process fair, pick a movie genre that interests you and request that your spouse does the same. Turn a weekend evening into a movie night, which involves choosing movies from each other's viewing suggestions. Watch two movies back-to-back, alternating who gets to choose the theme and movie title for each option.

Seek New Arrivals

If you and your spouse have passed up movies that are related to a genre that you each do not typically enjoy or if you both have been avoiding movies that are part of a collection, try viewing something that you would normally not select. Look through the new arrivals that have recently been added to Netflix. Search for an actor or an actress who you are familiar with and read the overview for each movie that is being advertised. If a plot sounds somewhat relatable and interesting, ask your spouse if they would like to watch it with you. If the two of you have difficulty deciding on a movie, use slips of paper and a drawing system, to determine which film to watch. Write down a couple movies that piqued your interest and ask your spouse to do the same. Draw one slip and vow to watch the movie together. Upon completing the movie, rate it through the Netflix app.

Continue watching the rest of the movies, by using the drawing system to determine the order in which they will be viewed. The rating of the movies may prompt new suggestions to be added to your profile. After many viewing sessions, you and your partner may have discovered what you both consider to be some of the best movies.
